Design change - INBT500/400
Dear InBody family,
We contact you today to announce the replacement of the current internal device Bluetooth dongle from INBT200 to INBT500/400.
It is very important to understand the compatibility consequences of the change during the transition period to avoid any compatibility issue. Indeed, If the Bluetooth Module INBT500 is applied in InBody device, LookinBody120 and BSM must also use INBT500. INBT200 and INBT500 are not compatible. However INBT400 is compatible with INBT500
Therefore, connecting a new InBody device using INBT500 to an older BSM with INBT200 will only be possible after converting the BSM to INBT500 by changing the internal dongle.
If we need to change INBT200 to
500 any reasons for existing customers, the part of INBT500 is under warranty
until 30th April 2027
REASON FOR THE CHANGE :
INBT500 has the function to connect multi-BT at once. (Ex. InBody can be connected to both BSM170B and BPBIO750 via BT at the same time).
HOW TO KNOW IF THE DEVICE IS INBT200 or INBT500
All devices manufactured after the date and serial number below have been produced using INBT500. All devices produced before this date have been produced using INBT200 :
HOW TO CONVERT FROM INBT200 TO INBT500
For most devices, as long as the device uses a compatible firmware, all is needed is replacing the internal dongle by the appropriate INBT500 version on the IF Board of the device.
The only exception is the BSM170 which requires to program the INBT500 dongle manually using an Android phone. You can find the manual attached.
